The District
Park Once, Explore Everything
SoBo is a walkable neighborhood. Most businesses along South Boston Avenue are within a few minutes' walk of one another — park once and stroll the whole district. Free street parking lines the avenues, and several surface lots provide additional overflow options.
Curbside Parking Plan
South Boston Corridor
South Boston Ave · 16th to 18th — angled and parallel curbside parking with marked crosswalks at every corner.
Illustrative concept — not to scale
Parking in SoBo
Boston Avenue gets new curbside parking for two full blocks — angled stalls in some stretches, parallel in others — with a marked crosswalk at every corner.
How to park
Watch the stripes: angled stretches are nose-in, one car deep. Parallel stretches sit tight to the curb — back in as usual. Both types run along each curb.
Getting around
Every corner at 16th, 17th and 18th has a marked crosswalk and a widened sidewalk, so you can park once and walk the whole district.
Please don't
Park in the alleys behind the storefronts. They stay clear for deliveries, trash pickup and emergency access.
