The City of Tulsa and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce have officially added the SOBO District and Pearl Main Street to the Oklahoma Main Street Program to support local economic growth.
On Aug. 4 at City Hall, officials from the City of Tulsa and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce celebrated the addition of Pearl Main Street and the SOBO District to the Oklahoma Main Street Program. The Oklahoma Main Street Program provides training, technical help and resources to assist in reviving commercial districts. Mayor Monroe Nichols stated that the addition reflects the passion and commitment of the people who have invested in these neighborhoods for years. District 4 Councilor Laura Bellis highlighted that these districts are among Tulsa's most walkable communities, representing vibrant neighborhoods and locally owned businesses. The program aims to build on the momentum of these areas to continue shaping Tulsa's future.
